Last updated October 7, 2026. Good Game Alert is made by one person, Grant Cohen, in the United States. This page says what the site and the iPhone app keep and why.
Your teams, services, starred games, action and fantasy players are stored in your browser or on your phone. Without an account they never leave the device.
An account is a name and a PIN. We keep the name, a salted hash of the PIN (never the PIN itself), and the picks above so they follow you to other devices. We also log that a signup happened: the name, the time, and whether it came from the web or the app. You can delete your account and everything with it by asking at the support address below.
If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a push address. We keep it, with the teams and games you chose, so we can send those alerts. Turning alerts off removes it.
A screenshot of a slip or a lineup is read on your device. Player names found in a lineup are sent to our server only to look up their NFL team. The image itself is never uploaded.
No ads, no tracking across other sites, no selling or sharing of your data, no analytics beyond the server's own request logs. Nothing here is directed at children under 13.
